BEST ZBrush course available? Beginners to Advanced tutorials – HONEST review by VOG (VegOilGuy)

Let’s not pretend otherwise, ZBrush isn’t cheap, but it is brilliant, though learning to use it can be tricky. There’s plenty of courses, all of a fair chunk of change, and none of them giving you ALL you need.
I was asked to review the ZBJW Course, founded by Tomas Wittelsbach, Eric Keller & Tony Rodrigues, and this claimed to be all things ZBrush – beginner to advanced courses, every function explained, demo projects, hundreds of videos, experts to hand, support 24/7, professional critique, professional contacts, a community that never sleeps and just one fee with lifetime membership at a cost not much above the usual ZB Course outlay. The technique were based around jewellery design, but the skills can be adapted to anything. So, in a nutshell, the best ZBrush course available. Is it too good to be true?

  1. 40% would be better!๐Ÿ˜‚
The ZB community has really grown over 20 odd years. The whole infinite upgrades definitely grabs everyone deeply once the realise itโ€™s power.

    Principles are so powerful๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿค›๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‡

  2. Sorry for the delay in my response, thank you greatly for being part of our community and giving an honest and insightful look at what we are making. I truly look forward to what you make next. And I appreciate you got it…… it is not a class it is a community. I was teaching through a friend’s site and my last classes were $750 for 6 weeks, so 6 classes. I really wanted to change the idea of how we learn this … what did you call it…… … … . .. . a pig? I didn’t say that I was just quoting you. I feel we are on that path. thank you again.

  3. Thanks for another great video. Theyโ€™re all so good! If you had to start again with one piece of software to invest and learn, would it be zbrush? Many thanks

  4. Great video but seeing the pricetag for the student version made my heart sink. Am used to getting free or discounted CAD softwares by using an .edu email but I understand that it a lifetime subscription and that is a bargain in the long term sense, but I’ll stick with blender for now.

  5. Wow! Very impressive Geoff!

Anyone who is interested in getting into design (jewellery, art or anything) should jump on this!! It’s not a small amount of money, but it’s a small price to pay for such an amazing learning platform.

Well done Geoff! Well done Tomas Wittelsbach, Eric Keller & Tony Rodrigues!

  6. Hey, I’d like to get into making some jewelry, any recommendations for a cheap burnout oven? Don’t wanna make one and am on a budget

  7. It’s very nice, but for me as a teacher it’s at this moment too expensive.

  8. What are the more advanced tutorials like? Tomas is a fantastic jewellery designer but for people who don’t know him or his work. The website gives you no idea of what you will be learning. More teaser videos are needed, as you have no idea what you are getting for a $1000.

  9. The content seems really interesting to me and presented by professionals in 3D design, ZBrush and teaching.
For a one-time payment, the price is ok from my point of view.
I look forward to the content at the ZBrush Jewelry Workshop! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Vog, for your video!
Your trade-offs are once again very well presented.

  10. I love it, mate. I remember way back when you started us on the Creality 10S Pro when I wanted skull rings and skull everything. I am glad the power of the dark force has guided you to this pojnt. Now just press that ‘clean tank’ option on the resin printer and let me know what the hell it does? I don’t have much resin to experiment with.

  11. Have started a Zbrush course on Udemy, which so far is adequate. But I’d love to take this course on afterwards. After learning Rhino, I’m very aware that there are tons of options one educator can reveal that another doesn’t. No criticism, as the complexity is so great that there are more ways to skin a goose, plus it depends on what the educator wishes to emphasise. A jeweller will emphasise different settings to an aeronautical engineer, even though they are using the same tools.

I love Rhino…it’s less dedicated to full on sculpting than Zbrush but I have grown to love it’s structure and processes.

Horses for courses. Learning Zbrush will tick ALL boxes.

  12. Hey VOG!!! Are you using a mouse or a tablet? If so.. A screen tablet or simple one

  13. Z Brush is fantastic and I believe you about the course being great but I donโ€™t think it matters how good something is if itโ€™s financially out of reach.

  14. It’s been a pleasure and an honor my friend. You’ve been a huge help in making our platform the best that it can be.

  15. Amazing product but the price is gonna keep most people out of it. they should make a section for beginners for a lower price, this is way to expensive for any one starting

  16. This is making me want to get into something I didn’t realize I wanted to get into!

  17. I have 3 questions. Do I need internet for the elegoo Mars pro to work? If not, does chitubox work on an iPad? If not, what can I use on my iPad that is like chitubox and will work on and elegoo Mars pro?

  18. Looks almost too good to be true, i’d feel safer with a monthly subscription. For all I know this could fail or stop being updated and then goodbye money. But this does look very promising think i’ll check back in a few months to see if it’s looking safe !
